JOURNEYS' foster parents are actively involved in ALL aspects of a child's life. Involvement includes: communicating
and assisting caseworkers and staff with treatment plans, biological family visitations, court appearances, school meetings,
counseling sessions and medical appointments. Each child is encouraged
to participate in "typical" age-appropriate social and community activities, sports, after-school events, family
gatherings and more. Sadly, many children who live in abusive or neglectful homes - never experience what it is like
to just 'be a kid'.
