a safe, fun, confidential and resourceful website designed specifically for today's foster youth!
Actual foster youth offer technical assistance and advice regarding the content and topics on the website.
This special
site is a place where youth in foster care can find common ground, enhance their lives, get involved in the community
and give other foster peers support. |
The topics that are addressed at Kommon Ground:
foster care rights, gangs, self esteem, nutrition, violence, depression, suicide, school bullies, teen pregnancy, emancipation
issues, fun contests, prizes, local entertainment opportunities and more!

A personal note from Author Neil Willenson about Kommon
Ground... "Youth in foster
care often face seemingly insurmountable obstacles including family dysfunction, extreme stress, uncertainty, poverty and
other troubling circumstances. I applaud Kommon Ground for their tremendous vision and for the many services they
provide. Through the dedication of their staff and volunteers and the generosity of their donors, the lives of
many youth in foster care are being transformed. The transition from foster care to independence can be
extremely challenging. By creating a smoother path, Kommon Ground greatly enhances the lives of these youth and in turn,
the entire Pueblo community."

the areas listed below) will be able to anonymously reply to the questions, as well as mentoring foster youth who
have had similar experiences!
